Many questions get asked by visitors to church, newcomers to town, and friends and neighbors of our members. Here’s a list of questions that may help you get to know Church of the Overcomer better.
FAQ
Q. What do you offer for children on Sunday morning?
A. Children are a special part of our congregation and we value them as full participants in the life of our church. Sunday School classes for children (preschool through the 6th grade) begin at 11 a.m. children ages 3 years old through 12 are dismissed to participate in their own time of prayer and Bible learning known as Kids Zone. ( Please see Ministries )
Q. Do you have to dress up to attend your worship service?
A. No! Dressing up is not a requirement to worship with us at Church of the Overcomer. Some do wear their “Sunday best” but you’re also likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. We believe the most important part about Sunday morning is showing up, ready to worship God.
Q. How does your church do baptisms?
A. Our church does baptism by submersion. Baptism in water is an outward representation of these inward realities. Water represents inner cleansing (Ephesians 5:26, Hebrews 10:22,) and spiritual rebirth (John 3:5,) both of which are central themes of baptism.
Q. Do i need to wear a face Mask to be part of your church services ?
A. No, but we do strongly encourage face mask.
